To see Dr Steer, you will need a referral from your General Practitioner, specialist surgeon, or treating physician. A referral is required for Medicare billing purposes.
Dr Steer knows that facing a cancer diagnosis can be stressful and timely access to care is paramount. All referrals will be triaged with care and efforts made to organise an appointment as soon as possible.
Prior to your appointment Dr Steer's team will send you a link so that you can provide information about yourself to enable person-centred care.
Your first appointment with Dr Steer allows time to review your history, imaging, and pathology results, and to discuss your diagnosis and treatment options in full.
Dr Steer's approach is to explain your diagnosis and options in clear language, and to involve you in decisions about your care. No question is too small.
Fee information will be provided at the time of booking. Medicare rebates apply to most consultations with a valid referral. Please contact the rooms for current fee schedules.
